Nightingale Vocal Ensemble
SHORT FILM CONTEST 2024
Nightingale is a Boston-based vocal ensemble dedicated to curating unique and imaginative concert experiences by performing members’ original compositions, presenting varied ensemble and chamber works, and engaging in innovative collaborations. We are experts in vocal ensemble free improvisation, as documented on our 2023 album Composition Sped Up and in our monthly residency of Exploratory Choral Meditations at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in downtown Boston.
In January 2024, we will explore free improvisation in the context of film with our project Photoplay. We will spontaneously create musical soundtracks inspired by silent films and other dynamic visual material.
We are accepting submissions for our 2024 SHORT FILM CONTEST.
