Nightingale will team up with early music trio The Pandora Consort to explore the "new sound" of Claudio Monteverdi's exquisitely drammatic Italian Madrigals. Monteverdi is widely regarded as one of the greatest composers and innovators in Western music history - his harmony known for being raw, lush, innovative, and unforgetable. Through selections from his nine books of madrigals and his personal letters, this performance weaves a narrative of Monteverdi’s life as a musician and the challenges of being a visionary in one's time.
