The Divine in Nature - Ketevan Sacred Music Festival 2021

Nightingale’s upcoming program, The Divine in Nature, features a cycle of five original part songs set to the poetry of influential New England poets from the 19th and 20th centuries. The cycle takes us through the course of a day, from dawn till dusk, and explores themes surrounding the divinity that exists in our stunning natural world. All pieces are composed by members of the ensemble, and the performance features Nightingale’s sixteen Core Members.

This unique program was conceived of when Nightingale was invited to participate in the 2021 Ketevan Sacred Music Festival, an annual international gathering of choirs and instrumentalists from diverse spiritual backgrounds, styles, and traditions centered in Old Goa, India. Nightingale is honored to  participate this year (virtually), and to represent the transcendent poetry of New England natives.
